ticalc.org Newsletter Interview

For any of you calculator fans out there, you may have noticed that I got interviewed for the ticalc.org Newsletter. I was actually quite surprised that Jon contacted me about it, but chose not to pass up the opportunity. You can of course read the interview if you wish.

Jon warned me of this but they did remove the one question that members of ticalc.org might have been interested in, which of course had to do with why I was no longer working with ticalc.org and am at CalcGames.org. So yeah I'm a little pissed about that, but hold nothing againt Jon. Ever since I left they have been choosing to coverup the fact that I ever worked there. Whatever. The truth is and I have told them this repedly. I would be glad to come back and help out, but they don't want me, I stirred up a little too much rucus! :-)

Here is the question if you really wanted to know:

[12:58] Lord Galcian II: As many of us are away, you worked at ticalc.org, and then moved on to help out a newer website, calcgames.org. What do you do there?

[13:04] Morgazum85: Ok, first of all I have to clear something up. everyone I have talked to think I left ticalc.org to work at CalcGames.org. This is not true, about a month after I had been removed from ticalc.org's system Barrett from CG contacted me and asked me if I would be an archiver at his site. I really wasn't sure at first if this was what I wanted to do for fear of how it might look from the community so I told him I would do it on a trial basis first. It wasn't too terribly hard at first despite the more complicated upload process than they currently have up, so I agreed to stay while Barrett took his leave of absence from the site for personal reasons. I'm a file archiver at CG and currently spend about 5 minutes a week adding the very few files that they get. I do however get more of a chance to actually test the programs and make sure they work well before I add them, which was somethign I wished I always had the time to do at ticalc.org. Currently I wouldn;t mind helping out ticalc.org in times of "crisis" however the new staffers I'm sure will do a great job at that.
