Quite ovbiously it has been some time since my last post. The truth behind it...my life is quite boring!

I left Alaska about a month ago and ever since then have been going to school. I was actually a week late back, but it wasn;t too hard to catch back up. School for me has hit the extremely waay too long point. This being my 16th year in a row and all (18 if you count pre-school :-)

None the less I have been getting the work done. I had two tests this week and pulled out great grades for both...one of them was even an accounting test!!! Thats a good sign.

When I got back to Pullman this year I was promoted, given a sleight raise and hired back at the place I was fired from last year. The manager and I at first didn't talk much, but we do all the time now. So everything at work is ok, but I still want a new job..its just gotten waay too old.

Anyway, I'm back to the same old stuff here in Pullman, so don't be too shocked if I don't post as often.

I'm a Pumper Baby...

So you are probably wanting more of a description of what it means to be a Pumper. I would first like to point out that after putting in a few hours here and there in other work areas, Pumping is probably the one and only job in this place that I could handle for such a long period of time. I have a picture below that if you click on will show you a larger view of some of the pictures I have taken.

The first two are taken inside fishing holds. Once the fish level gets down far enough so that we can get in, we will. We take these big plastic shovels with us and shovel fish towards the pump or use the return line (see first pic) to create a circulation of water towards the pump. While the fish level is dropping we don't really do much and in Jose' case will often take naps on the bigger Tender's. The middle picture is Pump 1 and its dock. Boats will pull up right beside it kind of like in the next picture and we'll pump their boats for them. The bottom left picture is that of the view I got to look at this entire summer whenever I was not inside of the fish holds. It was always different, usually with fog in the morning and a pending afternoon.

The last picture there is of one of the sorting tables. Every person on it is pulling something into their own tote which a forklift driver will come by and pick up when its full, He'll weigh it, get a lable put on it and take it off to get it iced. I'm hoping to get trained in driving a forklift next year. It sounds like a good skill to have, and they will of course train you for free.

Beach Crew '05

Today was my first day off in close to two months up here in Petersburg Alaska so I thought I would take a little time and introduce you guys to the really cool people I have been pretty much living with over these few months. At this cannery they have divided up all the workers into areas. Ours is called Beach Crew. I haven't really figured that out entirely yet but thats beside the point. Other areas for example are Fishouse, Cannery, Cold Storage and Crab Ally.

Anyway Beach Crew's main job is to get the fish off the boats and sorted into types of Fish (Chum, Humpy/Pink, Coho and Soki) and then get them sent off to their proper place in the cannery. My job, with a partner, was to actually get on the boats with this huge vacuum (pump) and get the fish in these huge holds up to the dock as fast as I possibly could. We were constantly being timed which always added a lot of pressure. Once the fish got up to the dock, anywhere from 4 to 12 people would stand on the line to sort out the fish as they came flying by on this belt. You really have to have a good eye to catch these fish. All the humpies were run off the end of the belt and straight into the cannery. The specialty fish are shipped some place else, usually Cold Storge.

So now that you know a little more about what goes on, here are some of the people I have been working with:

Top Left- Yeah I met a girl up here this summer. I guess you could say she found me. Her name is Erin and she lives in Idaho not too far from Pullman. Right now she is just a good friend

Top Middle- This is my boss Rudy and my first pumping partner Jose. We pumped together for about a month before Rudy split us up. Jose pumped with another person for a while and when he quit Jose stopped pumping as well for the rest of the summer. He went up top and sorted instead.

Top Right- These three beautiful women are (from right to left) Lyndsey, Hannah, and Marty. They are all sorters and always fun to be around.

Middle Left- Thats Erin and I at a Barbecue Rudy held at his house a couple days ago. Damn she is a cutie!!!

Middle Middle- That would be Hannah, Matt and Greg hanging out during one of our breaks.

Middle Right- This is Greg. He became my pumping partner when Jose and I split up. He had been working with Frank on Pump 2 and they absolutely did not get along at all. When he came to me he seriously got a new take on the whole pumping atmosphere, he loved it! That picture was taken on our break in the Engine room of the Nordic Mariner (the biggest occuring tender we had coming in.)

Bottom Left- This would be J.P. and Bryan in the back of the cannery. There are about 7 great big tanks back there that Beach Crew is constantly filling up with Humpies over the coarse of the day. Every day I would say that the Fishouse and the cannery empty that thing completely 3 or 4 times.

Bottom Middle- Another picture of the gang at Rudy's BBQ. That is Steve Ruddell in the back, my most immediate boss. He pumped for a couple years and is now the assistant lead to Beach Crew.

Bottom Right- One last picture of some of the crew playing with a hacky sack at Sandy Beach a week or so ago. This BBG was significant becasue it marked the very first time that we got off work even the sleightest bit early...1 hour. But just enough to have some fun so we took it!

Record Number of Hours

I just wanted to check in and let anyone reading know that I am still alive and kickin. Today was defiitely hard to get through. Falling alseep here and there and taking every break I had to sleep on a tote. We did get off early and I will be getting close to 10 hours tonight so I will go do that right after this.

Anyways I just checked the time clock for this pay period that just ended (last 2 weeks) and I pulled in approximately 180 hours. I quite literally get up as early as 4 AM to work till as late as 11:30 PM go to sleep and do it again. Its pretty hard to find hours when stores are open. One fact about Petersburg, this Island has no fast food what so ever!!!

I think my pumping partner is really enjoying me as a partner. We are totally kicking ass, knocking out boats faster than anyone and our boss is loving us! We have backed up the cannery today and I hope tomorrow will be a light day, but who knows. He has worked here for 2 years now and he thinks we may be one of the best working teams they have had. It is so cool to actually get positive reinforcement from your friends and employeed.

However there is one down thing, I have been a half hour late to work twice now...sleeping through my alarm. Therefor whenever I get to a store that is open when I am not working I will be getting a couple more alarm clocks! Ok, G'night all!

Berries for Supper!

The other day a fellow pumper and I along with a few others from Beach Crew walked up to sandy beach (yeah an original name I thought too!). Well I wasn't going to go unless they promised me we would be back for dinner so they did! It just happened to turn out that there are berries everywhere in Petersburg. I ate around a gallon of various berries just on the way to the beach! The 1 rasberry I has was the best, but besides that the salmon berries were the best...go figure :-) They were right off the road like we had back home on the penninsula.

We got to the beach and yes it was the only sandy beach in the entire area, but the beaches around it were pretty much just like the ones we have back home, all rocky. We got to the beach and had a half hour to get back for Dinner, however it took and hour and a half to get there ... we hitched a ride home :-)

First Day

Today was my first day of actual work. We started out unloading fish from several boats over in Cold Storage by hand, which at first sucked, but once I was all slimy, wet, and most uncomfortable I just dug right in.

We had to grab the fish by the mouth and gill and chuck them in this tort (hand operated lift) however for a newbir, I just was trying to grab the damn fish anyway I could. They are so slippery, and often it was very cold down in the storage tanks, becasue the captain just turned off the cooling minutes prior to us boarding (need to keep the fish cool).

We did get to pump two boats as well, which could have gone better, but didn't go too bad considering 2 of the 3 of us had no idea what we were doing. The first boat was a disaster really, we ran out of water and all. However we made up ground with the second. We didn't even have to haul a single fish out by hand, we got em all!

I'm on the schedule for tomorrow, so hopefully it will go much better. It would be a lot easier if the boats had storage holes that were designed for pumpin fish, but in fact these are mostly crabbin boats.

Made it to Petersburg, Alaska

I have Internet! Not only that but I got to Petersburg just fine today and all is as well as could be. The town is very neat and the people are....well...very different and will be a pleasure to work with. These guys know what a hard days work is and they aren't going to hold back from showing me. I got a few pictures of the town...nothing to great. The middle far right is the cannery I believe, or it could be the housing for some boats at the docks, got a little lost when I took that. The other two in the middle are fishing boats for the area.

I do have to say that the moment I walked in my room, it smelt of fish and thats something I am just going to have to get used to. These guys are used to working 16 hour days and 120 hour weeks. I met a guy from Poulsbo Washington who literally set me up with the head guy at this place and gave me an opportunity at making 75 cents more an hour than the other first year guys. Which is not bad and I wouldn't be cleaning the fish. I'll let you know more details when I know whats up.

For right now I am waiting for my orientation on Wednesday morning and just enjoying the new company in the mean time. You can click on this image to se a bigger one.

I Want my Summer Back!

Tomorrow will be my last day spent in Olympia before I head up to Petersburg for the job up north. I seriously can't believe it has already come. Not too sure yet if I will have Internet access but if I do you better believe I will be posting to this Blog a lot more. Alaska will be the 9th state I have been to! Woohoo! :-)

More Colorado Pictures

The first one is from the plane looking at Mount Raineer, which looked so much better than my camera could capture. The cluds definitely made it better. Grandma's Old House

This past week I have been working with my Uncle on tearing down my old Grandma's burnt down house. It is pretty sad for him to see it being torn down, he did live there for many many years of his childhood, however to me it was the place that I visited once a month for five or six years. Thus it doesn't hold as much sentiment to me, but I still think it is sad that it burnt down. Anyway, since it is easier for me to see it go, I have be doing alot with it and even urge him to do more before we close shop for the day.

He's been feeding me really well since he is such a good cook and in return I keep him company as much as I can. However work is starting up again at Target and I will have less time to do that in the coming month. I started work at Target today and on the normal day ten to twelve people will come through my line that I know, however there was only one today and it happened to be my first girlfriends mother. Man was that a little ackward. She came through last summer, but that was better because she didn't know at that time that her daughter hated me, for whatever reason I am still unsure. Anyway I got the distinct feeling that she knew now, but she still was very nice and seemed very interestedd in what I was doing and kept me informed of Leah's happenings with the Marines, apparently she is doing awesome, which I am totally happy about.

Anyway, for the next month or so it is just working at Target along with helping out my Uncle both with the burnt down house and at his work as a finish carpenter.

No Screenshotting Project

It looks like there will be no screenshotting project this year at ticalc.org. I had 40 days and 40 nights to work on this project for ticalc.org and the time has dwindeled to the point to where it would be impossible to finish it now. I haven't recieved a reply from them that said yes or no, so I take that as a no. Oh well...if they hate me that muich for the years of hard work I gave them for free ... so be it.

On a side note I took up playing World of Warcraft here and there and I totally love it! I am addicted to the point that I have to play it every night. I have to start paying for the internet play after the first month, so I'm getting my money's worth out the first month!

Colorado Trip w/ Gretchen!!!

Last Saturday Gretchen and I left for Colorado which turned out to be a 22 hour drive with a 6 hour stay in a hotel. The drive was waaay too long, but still very fun and only because of my company :-) We went through Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and finally through Denver in Colorado to get to Colorado springs which is the easiest way to say where she lives without that actually being correct and all. I met 5 of her brothers and sisters, her Mom, Grandparents, and two nephews. And I have to say this but her family is of the nicest people I have ever met, especially her grandparents!

We stayed in one of her sister's house for the 3 days where she will be staying the summer. I met all her dogs (lots of pics) and she showed me around her hometown. I felt bad at times because I wasn't able to fly out of Denver until Wednesday, so I think she felt she had to entertain me for the 3 days. But I had loads of fun on the entire trip. Thanks to my sister I got a practically free plane ticket back home to Pullman, and I drove home today to Olympia, which seemed extremely short in comparison. I got a flat tire, but used the spare and all went well!!!

Movie Review: Sahara

Went to see Sahara Tuesday because the preview looks hella awesome. I give the movie 3 stars. It is a good movie and all however it has two storylines and for the most parts strays from one of them for a long period of time. It wasn't what I expected but yet it was still action packed, very humerous, especially the desert scene with the plane. I went to see it with Gretchen and her older sister Nora. First movie I've seen in Colorado :-)

No Work for a Week

I just finished my second year at Subway tonight. I was there long past normal (1 AM) but got in the extra hours of course. I'm still undecided if I should work for Larry next year, but it is sort of nice knowing I don't have to look for a job when I get back from summer. I'm definitely going to try and get a job with Bank of America next year. I set up my schedule so that I have Tuesday and Thursday off as well as Saturday and the later business hours for the bank, so I'm going to try because I have heard they pay some of your tuition! Anyway, no more Subway for a while at least!

I start work with my Uncle and Target around the end of next week! From there on out I am not sure how much internet I will have until I get back to school, so there may not be as many updates as normal!

Movie Review: Kung Fu Hustle

One of the weirdest movies I have ever seen! But that is not a bad thing. It looks like the Chinese are finally getting into the movie making business and they actually pulled it off with this one! Not only does it include an older woman that can kick some ass, but it mocks many many American made movied from both past and present as well! It got an average of 4 stars by American critics and I just have to warn you if you are planning on seeing this. You have to have a very open mind and get past the fact that they are trying to make you laugh and it should not be though of as a believable story. It is foreign and has subtitles, but if you go with a bunch of Chinese people, all you have to do is laugh when they laugh and the movie really tells itself without the subtitles, but you can of course read them if you wish. I reccommend seeing it!

I went with Cinda, a two year friend from work who wanted to go as a good by outing for the summer! I enjoyed the evening.

ticalc.org Newsletter Interview

For any of you calculator fans out there, you may have noticed that I got interviewed for the ticalc.org Newsletter. I was actually quite surprised that Jon contacted me about it, but chose not to pass up the opportunity. You can of course read the interview if you wish.

Jon warned me of this but they did remove the one question that members of ticalc.org might have been interested in, which of course had to do with why I was no longer working with ticalc.org and am at CalcGames.org. So yeah I'm a little pissed about that, but hold nothing againt Jon. Ever since I left they have been choosing to coverup the fact that I ever worked there. Whatever. The truth is and I have told them this repedly. I would be glad to come back and help out, but they don't want me, I stirred up a little too much rucus! :-)

Finals Week

Finals start this week! Wish me luck! I have acounting tomorrow, which is pretty much a do or die moment followed by an economics final the very next day and finally a poster presentation on Friday. So not too much, but I have a lot of studying to do for them!

But hey, a week from now I will be on my way to Colorado, school will be out and no more worries for a few months! Good luck to any of you who have finals or upcoming tests!

No More Car

My day yesterday started off eating breakfast (which I rarely do) in the dining center across the way reading the schools newspaper "The Evergreen." I of course flipped to the back page to read my horscope and check how many stars I got for the day. I almost shit my pants...1.5 stars!! I didn't even want to move...something bad was bound to happen.

However I had to go to class, can't miss my accounting class. I went to class and on the way back I was riding the elevator up and when it stopped I started reaching for my keys. I was pulling them out as I walked out of the elevator and they slipped from my hands and actually fell down the crack and all the way down the elevator shaft!!! "OH SHIT...sorry(to girl)!"

You know the proverb "Don't keep all your eggs in one basket." Well apparently I didn't think that applied to me. So yeah I either have to pay $100 to call in the matienence guy to retireve them, pay $60 for not returning my room keys and have my parents send me a copy of my car key, or wait and hopefully the elevator will break down and the matienence guy will have to come in anyway, which is usually once a week. I chose to wait, which leaves me without my car for a while :-/

None the less every time I ride the elevator I push every button in hopes to break it :-) Damn I hate it when the horscopes are right.

New Roommates!

If everything goes according to plan next year these two will be my rommates. I know both Heather (Left) and Gretchen (Right) from the old Checkpoint/Subway. They live on the bottom floor of a two story douplex owned by Heather's father. Rent should be really cheap with another person and personally I can't wait. There is one delima...only one bathroom :-)

Back in the System!

This is a follow up to the SubWay firing! Yesterday I called Mitch which is the son of the owner of the store to tell him I couldn't hang out with him and some other guys that night and I accidentally called his home phone and his Mom picked up. She found out it was me and basically told me I needed to call Larry (the owner), so I did just an hour or so ago.

He basically told me that he didn't want me out of his system of stores and that I could get my job back at Checkpoint next year if I wanted it! I told him I wouldn't have a problem coming back as long as he was cool with it. And he said in the mean time he could really use my help in his other pullman Subway, so it looks like I will be helping out there for 2 weeks, at least until school is over!

The cool thing about it is I got promoted to supervisor as well, which means free subway, which I don't think anyone can argue with! Larry also said that he told my former manager to call me and get me back, but they in turn agreed that I wouldn't come back, which was not true, but it's all good! So the outcome of this whole thing is that I got promoted... :-)

Yesterday not 5 minutes after I arrived I lost my job! A month or two before Christmas we got a new employee that was supposed to be the assistant manager. The manager at that time was not working out so this individual pretty much started to fill in as the manager, without actually being the manager.

He came into the store completely oblivious to anything trying to learn as much as he can, however he's not exactly the fastest learner. In fact he makes mistakes on a regular basis. It got to the point to where nobody could ever take him seriously as a manager type person and resulted in a complete lack of respect.

Lately an overwhelming number of the employees have been in a constant struggly to keep from strangeling him. On a couple of times he has come out and said that he was better than us which is why he can do certain things we cannot. That pissed me the hell off and since then a general disliking of him has been building up to the point that I could no longer hold it yesterday.

To educate you on the issue so you can understand why I got fired let me tell you about this little book we have at our store. It basically is a journal log so we can all keep up to date with the changes in the store. Anyone writes in it when they have something on topic that needs to get passed along. Well we ran out of paper in the main section and I put a note on the next folder section that said "Out of Paper...please fill up." Now at the time I knew that this was the kind of stuff that he might have a problem with, but also realized that it was a legit note that you would only see if you actually ran out of paper. It is the same note that we have behind all hanging items in our store, except they say re-order.

So I get into the store on Monday at 3:00 and he takes me back behind the partition and starts to tell me how inappropriate that note was and started asking me why I didn't just write it on the cover of the notebook and stuff like that. We got into a huge aguement and in the end he asked me to come into the office to discuss it further. I was thinking that since this is such a bullshit thing to fight about that there is nothing left to discuss so I told him "no!" he asked if I was sure with a very freightened look on his face and I again said "no" and he said I was "...threw, just go." So I packed up my stuff left and as far as I know he covered my shipt with a little other help. I know enough to know that you cannot talk the way I did to an upper management to get off with no reprocussions, but it is time for him to realize that he is going to be havign a crisis on his hands real soon if he doesn't fix his managerial approach. Hell even Dale (manager last year) was 10 times the man he is!!

All in all this is not exaclty a big deal for me. I know my parents will actually be quite happy that I am no longer working there. For some time they have told me to leave. I start up work again in a few weeks at Target for a few months then up to Alaska for a few more and back to school where I will need to find a new job.

I went out and celebrated with a couple other friends from work! It was sooo fun.

Looks like they really need someone to replace me! :-)

Movie Review: The Amityville Horror

I went to see The Amityville Horror movie tonight with Gretchen, a good friend from work. I for once was actually scared several times throughout the movie, to the point that I definitely had some addrennaline moving through my veins. Without giving out any information at all about the movie, all I can say is that I highly reccommend seeing it. What's really messed up is that it is based on a true story. The story line is actually quite sad, once you think about it actually happening. None-the-less it is still very good and will definitely give you the chills at one point in the movie!

We went to Pizza Hut after and had some very good pizza. It got really weird, she started talking about her family and then I about a little about mine. I've never really gone into that much depth with anyone before and definitely not that emotional! Weird...

Heather's B-Day!!

So yesterday was Heather's B-Day. For those of you who don't know her, she is a really good friend from work. In the photo from left to right on the top its: Morgan, Melissa, Heather, Jordan, Gretchen and Nicole in the front middle.

Jordan and Gretchen also work at the store with Heather and I. Melissa and Nicole are a couple of Heather's friends from school. Heather had to work the morning of so while she was at work Gretchen and I got into Heather's house and decorated it all up, gretchen lives with Heather so it wasn;t a breakin :-) We had cake, some booze and even candles on the cake in the shape of the male genetalia! Heather loved it! :-)

This was Heather's first B-Day away from her parents so we had to make it special and I think we pulled it off!

3rd Celeb this Year

It was Mom's weekend at WSU this weekend. Mom's weekend is basically a time where any family members can come down and enjoy the festivities, visit with their kids and enjoy a couple days in the tiny alcohol driven town of Pullman. They always have some kind of show at Beasely, and this year we got tickets for a Whoopie Goldberg stand up act! I have to admit that she did an awesome job mixing in not only the comedy, but some life lessons as well. We all really enjoyed the show.

Earlier this year on Dad's weekend I went to the show which was Drew Carey and the Inprov All-Stars. Not only were we front row, but they asked me on stage to participate in one of their skits. I tried to provide the sounds to a skit which Colin and Greg were acting out. They mostly just made fun of us :-) But I did get to shake all their hands. And not two months ago Steve Irwin (the Crocodile Hunter) came into my work (Subway) and I made him a sandwhich! That was just weird, but we later found out he was filming a few episodes to a new Discovery Channel series in the Pullman vet school. Its been a year of celebs in the small town of Pullman!

I Got the Job!

It looks like this summer I will be working my tail off. I recieved a letter from Icicle Seafoods indicating that once I send in a few bits of information it will be finalized and I will be working there this summer from June 22nd to August 26th (my B-Day) :-)

I called up Target and they said I can work with them for the month and a half prior. I assume my Uncle would also like to have me help him out on his job site as well doing some finish carpenting for that month and a half as well. Bottom line...I will be able to pay for college this next year :-) With only 28 days 18 hours and 11 minutes until the end of the semester I am starting to feel the pressure stacking up!

I'm somewhat excited, however I'm still having problems with the IRS and my car needs some serious work. Maybe costing as much as $400. So it has been an up and down day.

I Really Miss Track!

I walking by the empty track field today and it was so sunny that it looks like they had their practice outside today and hadn't yet put the top back on the high jump matt. I found myself unable to control myself. Lets just say I ended up jumping on the matt and just lying there for a while. It made me realize how much I miss high jumping and track in general. It was always a great place to make lots of friends and to just have fun.

I haven't yet had the chance to do any sporting activities this year, not even intermural. That is a pic from high school taken by my Dad. Not sure what the height is, but I can tell you I cleared it! Damn I miss the sport. Maybe I can become a track coach someday! On a totally unrelated note I got the results of my Sociology test back today and I got a 'B' which is a hella lot better than I thought I was going to do. I really needed that. I'm pretty happy today!

2 Program Updates

My current involvement with the TI community as far as programming is updating all of my programs for optimization and improved ReadMe's. They will all be getting a .html ReadMe file that explains everything I could possibly think of needed to run the program. I have ~160 files at ticalc.org so this may take some time. Once done I will literally abandone all that I currently have up and start new ones since these will all be complete.

Currently pending at ticalc.org is the last updates for Acid/Base Solver v2.1 and Algebra Solver v2.1 (both ASM). CG has the two new files already available. Once these are added I'll be begging Jon Katz over at ticalc.org to please manually update Physics Solver v2.1 for the 83/84 series calculators, 25 different programs. It fixes a serious bug that has been bugging the crap out of me. So if I get lucky you won't see those on the recent files list but they will be updated. I feel bad to have to ask him. After all this is done, I'll start to port Geometry Solver v2.4 and Belch Math v4.65 to 83/84 ASM.

I'll keep ya posted. I know some of you are waiting for me to finish these so I can start porting some of your stuff ;-)

First Time Screw

I for the most part am pretty easy going with most people I meet. I never loose my temper, never throw tantrums or anything of that sorts. However if I run into a congressman or IRS agent, that might be a little different story. I'm only 19 years old and I have already been screwed by the IRS! I just got my tax return yesterday (direct deposit) and it was in the amount of $15.18 when I should have recieved $488.18. I am very irked at the moment, and the only thing making it better is the fact that I think I may have done well on a history test today. I'm definitely going to do something about this. I double checked my return and everything was correct. This is bullshit!

Not only that, but last year (my first time filing taxes) I never really remember geting the return, and I never checked my bank records in time. I'm starting to wonder if they screwed me last year as well.

AIM No More

I have a buddy list of 126 on AIM alone and I started to realize that I do too much conversing on AIM, IRC and other IM clients for it to actually be worth the while. Many of you know that I am no longer a staff member of ticalc.org and that was the reason I signed up for AIM. Sad part was I paid $20 for it :-)

Turns out I actually was paying for a music download service that cames with the AIM download...whoops. Anyway I got my AIM screen name because I knew I was going to need it as a staffer at ticalc.org. Well, its no longer needed. I am really starting to focus on school and slowly fade out of the calculator community all together. So, if you are waiting for me to sigh back into AIM or YIM or even the 1 person who knows my MSNIM, I won't be unless I need to ask someone a question. Feel free to email me, I'll still reply to all those.

St. Petersburg Fisheries

A couple hours ago I had my interview with St. Petersburg Fisheries run out of Alaska. I'm hoping to get a summer job here for a couple months before I come back to school. It turns out that I may not make as much money as I thought I would, but I still want to do it for the experience. Everyone tells me that working on a fishery is pretty much hell frozen over, but that doesn't scare me! I'm not too sure how the interview went. She only asked me a couple questions where I had a chance to elaborate at all, which isn't good because I have always been able to BS my way through those questions, and quite well I might add.

She said I would find out in two or three weeks if I got the job or not. I don't feel that good about it! I think I might have come off as a desperate college student. But then again, I got my good qualities across as well. Anyway, just have to wait. Oh and it turns out that it would be on land and not on a boat, which is both good and bad. It looks like it is going to be beautiful no matter where it is.

Survivor Journal: Week 6 Review

Last night on a special Wednesday night edition of Survivor: Palau history was made. For the first time in 10 seasons of Survivor, a team has lost six straight immunity challenges. Not only was it six straight, but the first six to kickoff the show. Ulong is now down to but three members, and despite their ealry overconfidence at the beginning of the show I have now found myself rooting for this group of three! Underdogs always need support, why do you think I root for the Seattle Mariners :-)

This week James (the Redneck) took the plunge as he was ousted in a tie breaker vote by Stephanie and Bobby Jon. However I believe this was the right choice, mostly because he was more concerned with tying his skirt during the immunity challenge instead of actually participating. Plus he has done enough already to disgrace rednecks across America already. Ulong actually did win a very cool reward challenge that included pringles, Mai Tai's, and a snorkeling trip to a lake with literally millions of harmless jellyfish.

Next week I have predictions of a tribal mixup, but I've had that for some time now! Part of me is thinking that the producers are just messing with Ulong and seing how many they can loose. And I'm guessing the huge "first time ever" thing mentioned in the preview for next week is Koror catching a shark! They did just a little too much frolicking in the water to lead me to believe otherwise.

Spring Break is Over :-(

Spring Break is most definitely over. Whenever you have to wake up at 6:00 AM (3 hours before class starts) to write a paper about some topic your teacher sent you in an email Sunday the previous day, you are most definitely back in school! Needless to say I did get it done and in rather good quality as well.

For those who haven't been to WSU, this is what I get to come home to every day. Its a 10' X 20' room assimilated into this very lovely building (gag :-p). I did secure my plans to move out into either an apartment or house with a couple other buddies from work for next year. That'll be cool. Its not a bad room, about 40' from the dining center (once outside the doors) and not too far from work either!

The point of this post is to say that I am rather busy so ckeck here if you want to hear from me!

My Car Returns!

Ain't she a beaut! I've been in college for a year and a half and haven't had the use of a car until a few days ago! I finally drove her over and can actually go exploring around the tiny town of Pullman a little bit more. She is a 89 Honda Accord. While this is obviously not the best car in the world, that ceases to matter because she runs like a champ! Well she might need a new fan belt after the 6 hour drive from Olympia! Thanks to my Dad for helping me get her on her feet!
